Packing for a Move
A good move starts before the truck arrives. Christina helps you declutter, pack carefully and label everything so your new home comes together quickly.
Moving is stressful enough without packing every item you own late at night. When boxes are packed in a rush, they end up full of mixed items, labeled "misc" and left unopened in the new garage for months.
Our organized packing service is different from simply throwing things in boxes. We pack by room and category, edit as we go and label clearly, so your first days in the new home feel calm instead of chaotic.
It starts with a free consultation, ideally a few weeks before your move. We look at how much you have, when your movers are scheduled and which rooms you can live without first.
We usually start with the rooms and items you use least, like guest rooms, storage closets and seasonal decor. Kitchens, bathrooms and daily clothes are packed last. This keeps your home livable until the very end, which is especially helpful for families with kids or pets.
We work alongside your moving company rather than replacing it. Christina focuses on the organizing, editing and packing, and your movers handle the heavy lifting and transport.
Christina helps clients pack in Austin, Round Rock, Pflugerville, Cedar Park, Leander and Manor. Some are moving across town, some are relocating out of state, and some are downsizing into a smaller home. Every move looks a little different, and the plan adjusts to fit yours.
If you are downsizing, our downsizing help adds extra support with sorting and family decisions.
These small steps make moving day run more smoothly and help us pack faster.
If you are short on time, we can focus on the rooms that take the longest, like the kitchen, primary closet and home office, while you handle the easier spaces. Whatever mix works for your schedule, the labels and system stay consistent, so every box is easy to place on the other end. We also keep a simple inventory of what went into specialty boxes, like keepsakes and important documents.
The easiest moves are the ones where the same person packs and unpacks. Because Christina knows how the boxes were packed, she can unpack and set up your new kitchen, closets and bathrooms quickly, with systems in place from day one.
